For the last ten years, Berkhamsted Speakers has been one of the most successful and renowned Toastmasters clubs in the Home Counties, despite this, there has never been a club in Hemel Hempstead… until now.
On May 17 th 2018, Dacorum Communicators will be holding its inaugural demonstration meeting from 7.30 – 9.30pm, where people can come along and experience a Toastmasters meeting. This free evening is perfect for anyone aged 18 – 110 who has a fear or dislike for speaking in public. As well as public speaking, Toastmasters, offers a wide range of skills to improve leadership including being part of the club committee.
It’s a common phobia that affects people in their day-to- day work especially if you have to do sales presentations or make presentations to the board. Public Speaking also includes special occasions such as weddings where speeches are common place but can leave those involved paralysed with fear.

The demo meeting is to see if there an appetite for the people of Hemel to form their own club over the course of the next 12 months. If this is successful the club would meet twice a month.
