Be a Hero! Go Red for your local Air Ambulance

Herts Air Ambulance is encouraging businesses to get behind its ‘Be a Hero’ campaign and support their local life-saving Charity during National Air Ambulance Week (19th – 25th September) in support and recognition of the life-saving Charity’s bright red helicopter.

The annual ‘Go Red’ campaign aims to encourage Hertfordshire businesses to hold red-themed events in the work-place, and even take part in this year’s ‘Be a Hero’ theme to encourage staff to go to work dressed in red – or even as their favourite superhero.

Cristina Barone, Fundraising Manager for Herts Air Ambulance, said: “Go Red is all about having fun while raising awareness and much needed funds for our life-saving Charity.

“Businesses taking part can hold all sorts of fun events with their customers and staff, from red-themed dress days, superhero days, cake sales, games and social events.

“Last year we raised £17,495 which was fantastic. This year we hope, with the support of businesses across the county, to smash that record.”

Go Red runs during National Air Ambulance Week which aims to raise awareness of the life-saving work carried out by Air Ambulance charities across the country.

National Air Ambulance Week, now in its fourth year, is run by the Association of Air Ambulances.
