British Jewellery Designer Harriet Kelsall has been shortlisted for the 2016 Forward Ladies National Women in Business Awards

Harriet founded her business – Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery – in 1998 and it is now recognised in the UK and across the world as a market leader in bespoke jewellery design, with over 20 national and international awards to its name.

As an innovator she has revolutionised bespoke design within the jewellery industry and is a champion for ethics, the environment and education within her sector. Harriet is playing a key role in the industry this year as the Vice-Chair of the National Association of Jewellers and as a board member of the Responsible Jewellery Council. Founded in 1999, Forward Ladies supports women in their professional lives and celebrates and champions the role of women in the workplace. Harriet Kelsall has been shortlisted in the retail category, reflecting her position as one of the most respected bespoke jewellery designers and business trailblazers working in the UK jewellery industry today. 

The awards are sponsored by HSBC and all shortlisted candidates will receive tailored business support from the financial services company. Debra White, Regional Director of Small Businesses for HSBC and judge said: “There was an impressive number of high-calibre entries this year, highlighting the quality of talented businesswomen we have in the UK. These entrants are the future entrepreneurs of our country, with the Forward Ladies event to showcase the best Britain has to offer. The shortlisted applicants in each of the categories will be invited to attend the regional final at the Amba Hotel, Marble Arch in London on 16 September.
