Local solicitor launches new business initiative for Berkhamsted

Last Thursday (26th April) saw the launch of the Berkhamsted Young Business Network at the Berkeley Wine Bar on Lower Kings Road.

This new local initiative is the brainchild of local family law solicitor, Nicola Meldrum and aims to bring together aspiring business leaders of the future who are based in and around Berkhamsted.

At the launch, over 25 local business people from across different industries had the opportunity to meet like-minded colleagues over drinks. The event itself was free to attend, being sponsored by local family law firm, Rayden Solicitors.

Both the Mayor and Mayoress of Dacorum, David and Elaine Collins and the Deputy Mayor of Berkhamsted, Sue Beardshaw came to support the launch.

Local business owner, Tom Shurville of Distinctly Digital, said of the evening, “It was fantastic to attend the launch night of the Berkhamsted Young Businsess Network. It’s great to see an event that caters for up and coming business leaders as opposed to the ‘old guard’. I made lots of connections with other like mind business people and am really looking forward to the next one!”

Nicola Meldrum, “I am very excited to have launched this initiative. Berkhamsted has an active and thriving business community and this initiative offers a specific forum for aspirational business leaders of the future to meet and get to know each other in a fun and informal environment.”

The meet ups are free to attend and the next event it planned for 25 July 2018 from 5.45pm at the Berkeley Wine Bar on Lower Kings Road. Anyone who is interested in attending future events should contact Nicola directly on nm@raydensolicitors.co.uk.
