Museum Celebrates ‘Watford’s Wembley Finals’ In Advance Of FA Cup Final

Watford Museum has mounted a foyer exhibition in celebration of Watford Football Club’s success in reaching the FA Cup Final this year.

Supported by Watford FC, the small exhibition celebrates Watford’s iconic moments at Wembley, focusing on the 1984 FA Cup Final, 1999 Play Off Final and forthcoming Cup Final. The exhibition combines unique treasures – like the silver trophy from the Play Off Final, the rosette from the club coach to Wembley in 1984 and Graham Taylor’s own medals – with souvenirs fans have kept from scarves, hats and flags to hand knitted jumpers.

Watford Museum Curator, Sarah Priestley, said: “We’re delighted to announce an exhibition celebrating Watford FC at Wembley! Relive our best memories as we prepare for the FA Cup Final with a foyer display of unique treasures and memorabilia every fan will remember.”

The ‘Watford’s Wembley Finals’ exhibition will be on display from Saturday 27 April to Saturday 25 May. The Museum is open Thursday to Saturday 10-5, admission free.
