VWV Recognised as Leading Law Firm in Northern Home Counties

Award-winning law firm VWV has confirmed its position as one of the leading law firms in the South East, with this week’s release of the two leading guides to UK law firms and solicitors.

Based on a series of client and peer interviews conducted independently, Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 offer those buying legal services reliable information on the leading law firms. VWV has been ranked for many years in both directories.

The 2019 directories reveal that five of VWV’s teams – Corporate & Commercial, Employment, Commercial Property, Education and Property Litigation – have been recognised as amongst the best in the region.

The Corporate team in particular, as well as Watford Office Partner Richard Phillips, who leads it, were ranked as band 1 in Chambers & Partners, the highest distinction.

Legal 500 researchers commented:

“VWV fields an education team that attracts praise for its excellent service and sector knowledge and for providing value for money that is difficult to beat.”

“VWV is rated for its pragmatic, balanced and reasonable advice and its ability to provide workable alternatives to complex employment problems.”

As a result of the research, eight Partners in VWV’s Watford office have been recommended in the legal directories – Emma Cameron, Michael Delaney, Paul Gershlick, Joe Kwok, David Marsden, Richard Phillips, David Power and Laura Seaman.

VWV opened its Watford office in February 2016, and the firm also has offices in London, Bristol and Birmingham.

Commenting on the results, Richard Phillips, Watford Office Partner, said:

“This year’s rankings recognise the outstanding legal work of our lawyers here in Watford. The firm’s position in the legal directories relies heavily on client feedback, so a special thank you to all of our clients involved in the process this year.”
