Professionals and their families from a leading firm of intellectual property specialists, with offices in St Albans took, part in a charity ramble around the Hertfordshire countryside last weekend to raise funds for a prominent homeless local charity.

The group from Cleveland Scott York, which has offices on Grosvenor Road in the city, took part in the ramble to raise funds for the firm’s St Albans office charity, Herts Young Homeless.

Setting off along the Hertfordshire Way from Sandridge, walking through fields and woods before passing local landmarks, including Bunyan’s Chimney and Brocket Hall, the team of 14 accompanied by three dogs then stopped for a welcome lunch at a pub before returning to Sandridge.

The team raised around £100 for the charity with their nine mile walk and will be organising another ramble in the spring.

Herts Young Homeless works with young people in the local area aged between 16 and 24 who have had experienced homelessness of difficulty in maintaining safe and secure accommodation.

Cathy Ayers, a Partner at Cleveland Scott York who took part in the walk, said: “This was a very enjoyable walk across the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, made all the better by the knowledge that in doing so we were raising much needed funds for Herts Young Homeless.”
